The primary goal of school holiday programs and robotics workshops organised by Aerobotics Global is to offer students a technology-driven learning experience that will teach them all the skills they need to thrive in the dynamic, exciting, and ever-changing world that lies ahead of them.

Planned thoroughly to achieve precise learning goals, our kids holiday activities and workshops will teach kids how to construct robots from scratch thus giving them a first-hand experience and in-depth knowledge of robotics. What’s more, the kids get to take the robots they built during the workshop with home so that they can deconstruct, rebuild, and explore the unlimited potential of machine learning and robotics.

Our holiday programs and workshops are best suited for kids in Grade 1 and onward, our workshops, holiday programs and after-school programs are carefully designed to offer a holistic STEM learning experience to students and prepare them for the jobs of tomorrow.

Depending on the intended learning outcomes and the background knowledge of students about robotics, we organise multiple after school programs and holiday programs in Melbourne and Sydney.

Grade 1- Grade 4

Junior Robotics

The ‘Junior Robotics’ is the basic robotics program for students intended to introduce them to the field of robotics. Program can be covered as an after school program or the holiday program.

This program focuses on the fundamentals of robotics and coding where they will build their robot from start to finish and further code the robots using the drag and drop programming language. Students will be encouraged to think out of the box and develop own way of solving problems.

The program is designed in the form of a fun activity for kids which provide learning outcomes with hands-on experience. Thorough understanding of components including actuators, sensors and microcontroller board will be achieved by end of the program.

Students are challlenged with different problems statements boosting their confidence, knowledge and engagement in the program.

Robo Wars Junior

Problem Statement: Have you watched a sumo wrestling match before? In sumo wrestling, the wrestler who can push his opponent out of the ring wins the match. For the holidays you can build and code your own Sumobot that can find another opponent (robot) inside an arena and try to push them out. The last remaining robot in the arena will be the winner.

Program Level: Intermediate

Soccer Bot Junior

Problem Statement: Have you played soccer in video games before? You can move and control players around using a joystick. What about building a robot controlled by a joystick that can play soccer. In this program, you will build a soccer playing robot. You should be able to control the position and the movements of the robot using a joystick. There will be a soccer match in and the team with the highest number of goals will be the winner.

Robotic Arm Junior

Problem Statement: In big industries, robots are used to lift heavy objects that humans cannot build. In this holiday program, you will build your own miniature version of the robotic that can pick up things and drop them in a different location autonomously. The robot will have 4 axes of control to pick up and drop things.

Mining Robot

Problem Statement:
Ever fascinated by a Mining Truck before? What if you want to make one for yourself? For these holidays, let’s build one. This will be an arena-based project where you will build a robot with an attached trunk for loading and unloading. The robot will follow the path in the arena which will have a few stops dedicated to loading and unloading. Also, you can gain points while you do this. Collect maximum points to be the WINNER.

Bomb Squad Junior

Problem Statement: Our security department uses many robots for dangerous tasks like bomb disposal. How about building your own robot for bomb disposal? In this holiday program, you will build and code a robot to find a bomb and transport it to a safe house before it blasts. The robot will move autonomously with the help of a map provided come back to the headquarters.

Program Level: Advanced

Spider Bot Junior

Problem Statement: Have you seen a spider crawling? In this program, you will Build an autonomous robot with spider like movements.

iRobotics

Self-Balancing Robot Senior

Problem Statement: Have you seen a hoverboard before? It moves according to the rider’s movements and balances itself. In this holiday program, you will build and code a self balancing robot that can balance itself in upright position even when external force is applied to the it.

Maze Solving Robot Senior

Problem Statement: There is a maze with multiple paths. You have to build and code a robot that can autonomously find its way out of the maze. After the first try, the robot should also remember the path it took to get out of the maze.
